Keep local work local
Download a compatible model once and local workflows can keep running without an internet connection. Chats, documents, recordings, and notes used in those workflows are processed and stored on your device. You do not need an account for local use, and the app does not include analytics or telemetry.
Ten workspaces, one app
AI Chat, AI Search, AI Browser, Listen Library, RSS Feeds, Voice Note, Text to Speech, Knowledge, Text Note, and App Help use the same models and app storage. You can bring AI chats, voice notes, speech items, and search results into Knowledge instead of rebuilding the context for each task.
You decide when AI goes online
Local models are only one option. You can connect your own cloud provider account or turn on web features when a task needs them. You choose the provider and credentials. The Privacy Policy explains how data handling changes when you enable an online service.
Stay in control when AI acts
AI Chat can use tools for calculations, documents, web requests, Calendar, and Reminders. You review proposed changes before they apply. In AI Browser, you can watch the agent work step by step and take over whenever you want.
Made for Apple devices
On Device AI works with widgets, Siri, Apple Shortcuts, App Intents, the Mac menu bar, and customizable keyboard shortcuts. Supported local models use Apple hardware acceleration, and you can store models internally, on an external drive, or on a shared volume.
Start with a task you already have
Download On Device AI from the App Store and try it with a document, recording, note, or question. The getting-started guide covers the first setup, and the documentation explains each workspace in more detail.
